Love the idea of a "a course repository". Wish I would have known this before making teaching changes based on formative assessments.

Sometimes student assessment can also be subtle, things like increased emails about not understanding where links are located in the learning system. Figuring out how to embed items in a teaching tool like Google Slides is a big time saver also so students are not clicking links in separate tabs and getting distracted from the lesson.

We have a resource folder in Schoology to refer back to. One thing that would be helpful to show in this course… >>>

I have not done collaborative learning in small groups online yet so many of the strategies recommended were helpful. I thought i was giving great feedback but wasn't do it as timely as it sounds like I should have on grading. I did post comments though but was not consistent.

Establishing a Pattern of Teaching really helps students easily navigate different lessons. They get into the habit of checking things first rather than having to relearn new patterns with each lesson. Less frustration for them and less clarification questions from students for the teacher...

Each district most likely offers different tool mediums that fit under the strategies listed in this lesson. For example, Powerpoint version is similar to Google Slideshow and in our district Google Apps are streamlined much more easily to Schoology, the Learning Management System used in our district. Power Point, while a great tool in general, is not as strong and as easy to use within Schoology, especially if not all students have home access to Microsoft platform.
