Feedback is very important in the medical field. At my place of employment, we refer to feedback in three steps (1) Briefing-before starting your assigment, it is important to know what is going on with the daily plan. This is a detailed patient planning concept which involves the whole team. (2) Huddles-which can occur anytime during the shift. Making sure things are going according to plan or if any problems or changes are needed. (3) debriefing- how did to shift go. Were their any problems and what did we learn or do to corect the problems. This is done every day.

As an instructor redirecting and probing assist you in getting more students to participate in classroom discussion. If the first student is correct, I often try to get several answers for the same question from my students.

No such thing as stress free living. It's how we deal with the stress determines if it will interfere will our daily living. Does my job stress me out? Of course! Knowing that I have a job lightens that stress. Knowing that 4;30 pm I am leaving that place of employment and I have other opportunities to look forward to. Do my students stress me out? Sometimes. They are like my children it is my job to teach them. When they get out of hand, I make sure that I stay in control. Do my family stress me out? Of… >>>

Stressing can take its toll on an individual. As a full time worker,an instructor and a family man. I find myself under stress everyday. How do I deal with these daily stressor? I ask myself is it worth my health, is it harming my family and those around me. Taking time to understand why something is stressing me out, I can general fix the issues or make it more tolerable to manage.

Working Monday through Friday 7:30pm-4:30pm at a hospital and then teaching Monday-Thursday from 6:00pm-10:00pm, my me time becomes very limited. My 1 hour lunch from my day job is my Me time.5:00-5:45 is my time to prepare for my class. 10:30pm-11;30pm is trying to catch up with family time. The weekend become Golden Time for all other catch up time.
Knowing what you want to accomplish and know what you need to accomplish is the first step in controlling your time. If what I want to accomplish can be put off for a later time then this will allow me the extra time need for accomplishing the things that I need to accomplish without time constraints.

As a paramedical professional, I see children as young as 4 years old on some type of medication for this problem and I ask myself is it the child or the parent who truely has the problem. Many parents are impatient and the first thing they think is, "my overly active child has ADHD" and they want their child to be medicated. Some healthcare providers that I work with are hesitant about medicating these young individuals and believe that with better parenting skills are the answer to some of these problems. One the other hand, I see what medication can… >>>

As an experience instructor my greatest worries are not that I can instuct my class, but that at the end of the course, Iask myself did I teach my students enough to move on to the next challenge.
Students know my expectations from day 1. They know that I am there to teach them and they are there to learn. Each student have the rights and responsibility to learn and let there classmates learn. Class disruption is not allow in my classroom. Verbal counseling comes first, then written and then removal. This is my way for good order and discipline.
Since no students are alike, I deal with each student's challenge differently. One of the most important steps I consider is the student's age. Age can assist in identifying student's life experience. I sometimes find myself talking to my younger students as similar to the ways I talk to my adult children.
