Congress estimated that there where 57 million people with disabilities in 1990 which developed the Americans Disability Act (ADA). However, the interesting component is that more votes of higher majority came before Legislation than any other bill in 50 years.

Interesting enough that an architect designed the Origins of Universal Design. In 1980, architect Ron mace patent (UD) to provide a concept toward the extent of possibilities for those that need them, making it possible for more immediate access to places and products.

This module on section 504 and the rights for those who have a disability is important to know as an instructor so that we can support the student who has the disability and are able to provide legal resources to be successful.

Overall, this module was a good review for me as I had taken online classes at the University of Hartford. This module reflected upon the infrastructure of the program and what is needed. This is included in the instructional delivery process and its dynamics in order for both student and instructor to succeed. There are some terms I have learned such as scaffolding which is the process of building knowledge and skills utilizing tools such as maps, wiki, blogs, and collaborative documentation followed by effective communication to help facilitate course framework. I also took interest in the two types of… >>>

What I found very interesting was the difference between theĀ  interdependent and interactive learner. Both a dominate force that actually creates competition that may fuel the… >>>

Asynchronous teaching is a better way to educate students that include all learning styles. It will include all personality types to participate at their own pace without falling behind. It encourages reflection, critical thinking, and more students are not only engaged but communicate on a personal level to boost encouragement to continue to want to participate in the class. I have not given to much attention to the challenges of synchronous teaching before this module. Challenges appear when dominant personalities or rapid texting can overtake the classroom setting. Helping those who have more of a learning curve or those who… >>>

What I took out of this module so far is that in order to Project my presence is to build a foundation by presenting a biography of myself and expectations. Help the students feel prepared by providing a detailed itinerary with a variety of learning tools such as video clips, audio text, and a printable version of studies. Lastly, establishing baseline relationships by requesting a biography of each student to help get to know them and what their expectation of the course would be.

In reviewing the Online Teaching Techniques I found that comprehensive review course structure, course foundation,  course content, and course delivery are all main techniques needed in online teaching.
