Ask the student that are disrupting the class a question that you were discussing.

You should be the role model, providing the steps to their success.

Formative Assessment is an interesting concept. I have discussions with my students to see how well they absorbed the module.

And is it time to proceed with the next?

A challenging student can disrupt a class. Taking the student aside and have a discussion. There may be issues the teacher is unaware of,

and can provide some direction for the student. 

I'm looking forward to becoming more involved with CTE. 

CTE provides different avenues, to provide students with tools needed for success.

This module gave me some insight. Take HVAC students on a field trip, to a manufacturing plant of hot air furnaces and boilers.

Expanding their understanding of the product that may install.

 This gives one another perspective of how traumatic events may affect the student's behavior.

If a student is absent for a week or more due to circumstances. I will schedule a day after the regular class where the student can make up the  test. I will review the module that student had missed in class before the test.
