I've learned that, "The more you know, the better". You will be well-informed and sound confident enough to persuade the possible prospect. Meetings and ongoing trainings are very important to the continued professional development of an admissions representative. There clear written policies about transfer of credits. Keeping a checklist to update and gather documents helps plenty to ease the task of staying current. In order to apply this in a work environment you must be organized, responsible, and adapt to any possible changes.

I have learned that not every institution have the same policies, procedures, and operating manuals. Each institution has its own format for presenting the policies and procedures. The best way of learning about the programs in the school is to ask for all documents that list your programs, talk with instructors and people from each education department, and read all that you can. Also that not every school offers the same kind of student services. Another thing I learned is that institutions don't have to follow a formal marketing plan. I've learned that I must check the Florida Commission for Independent Education website at least once a month for announcements of any updates to Rules and Statutes. Admission requirements must be followed 100%. I have also learned that if my institution participates in Title IV, all prospective students must be informed. I intend to apply this by organizing myself, doing things with time and always keeping myself up-to-date with the most recent changes.

I have learned that this is a continues process, I must keep myself up-to-date with new regulations and policies. This training is required to become a licensed admissions representative. I have also learned that when the institution license is renewed, in this case for Northbridge University, it is required of me to satisfactorily complete continuing education requirements
