I came to know that procedures for Title IX need to be prompt, fair, impartial, and all about safeguarding everyone. In addition to this, it was found that institutions need to conduct investigations irrespective of any ongoing criminal investigation process, and that off-campus incidents affecting the campus environment will also be taken into account. The application of these learnings will be done through understanding institutional policies and taking proper action.

I learned that Responsible Employees must promptly report suspected Title IX violations to the Title IX Coordinator while explaining confidentiality limits to students. I will apply this knowledge by responding appropriately, avoiding discouragement of reporting, protecting privacy, and helping prevent retaliatio

It has come to my understanding that the rights of students and employees to be free from discrimination based on sex harassment and violence against women are covered by both the Title IX and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). I have also understood the need for confidentially, support services and awareness of when to report to the Title IX Coordinator.

With that in mind, I am determined to use the above-mentioned knowledge by becoming conversant with the policies of the university, recognizing prohibited behaviors, and dealing with them in case any concerns are raised to me.
