About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Francic, This tactic really works; try it. I've even scrambled questions to get a different order, but it is the same test. Patricia
Hi Ty, Students want to know how they will be able to utilize the information in the workplace. Once the realize they can use it on the job, they automatically become interested. Patricia
Hi Grace, Nicely responded to! Students need to know the outcome of their assignments so that they can determine if there are any areas they are weak in. Patricia
Hi Patricia, I've noticed as the student is writing, the student is letting off steam. This is a good tactic to use to help the student calm down. Patricia
Hi Patricio, I agree. The classroom is no place for you to discuss your personal problems. Students are there to learn not to be your personal counselor. Patricia
Hi George, I can tell you teach to your course objectives. Great points indicated! Patricia
Hi Tina, What type of things do you notice whenver the climate of the classroom is changing? Patricia
Hi Andrew, May be a field trip will add to all the exciting activities you conduct. Patricia
