About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Activity

Hi Paul, A medium point is key. Some instructors can not determine the medium point, therefore becoming too friendly with students or becoming unapproachable. Patricia
Hi Ted, You're right! They can care less. Patricia
Hi Beth, It works smoothly and very professionally when you can retrieve documentation. Patricia
Hello Beth, Great! You let your students know from the very beginning what they are up against. Your students are not in for any surprises, which is super! Patricia
Hi Beth, Two versions of a test, of course, is a great strategy! Patricia
Hi Bill, It sounds like you are very thorough! Students need as much details as possible. Whenever students have to question many things they tend not to do well. Patricia
Hi Bill, These are all good ways to capture students attention. I even say we are going to have a quiz or pop test on today's lesson to capture attention. Patricia
Hi Timothy, How have you experienced that proximity makes the student nervous? Patricia
Hi Timothy, I've discovered they get a better understanding when they are shown examples. Patricia
