You don't have to flip your entire course at once.  You can flip certain aspects in taking "baby steps"

You need to take into consideration the students you are working with.

I need to remember to utilize more OER's as there are many that can be a useful tool in a flipped classroom.

A flipped classroom allows student-centered learning, where students will think deeply about the content.  A flipped classroom allows for time, face-to-face, to problem-solve, work collaboratively, or practice specific skills.

Utilizing a flipped classroom incorporates Bloom's Taxonomy.  Not only will students remember the terms/information, they will be applying the information to scenarios and/or real-life situations.  This will improve the quality of learning.

The flipped classroom is a helpful strategy, especially when you have a lab component within your course.  I do see resistance from students, however, this is more because the concept of a flipped classroom is new to them.  I see the importance of students being allowed to take the time with the material and taking a deeper dive into those concepts that are new or intriguing to them.
