Thank you for sharing your reflection! I completely agree understanding how core academic subjects integrate with CTE really shifts how we see student development. When students apply math, science, or language skills in real-world CTE settings, the learning becomes more meaningful and engaging. It’s exciting to think about how this integration not only reinforces academic content but also prepares students for career pathways with stronger problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Great insight!

As an aspiring CTE administrator, I’ve been reflecting on what the transition from classroom teacher to leadership might look like. Through professional development, mentorship, and coursework, I’ve begun identifying both the opportunities and challenges this role presents. I anticipate key struggles in areas such as time management, personnel coordination, and resource allocation.

From studying current administrators and engaging in leadership modules, I’ve learned that success often stems from strong staff relationships, data-informed decisions, and ongoing professional growth. Through this introduction of CTE Integration, I now understand how students benefit from foundational knowledge in core subjects such as math, science, english and social studies and how these foundations prepare them application of their knowledge as the begin to develop skills in a CTE program.

I have completed the CT301 CTE Administrator, but cannot find the course that directly works with the Administrator Handbook.  Can you provide that link please? Thank you

Faculty from the University of Central Missouri, Murray State University, Marshall University, and the University of Nevada – Las Vegas, are collaborating on the development of a CTE Leadership Self-Efficacy Scale.

As a practicing career & technical educator, we are inviting you to participate to validate the scale and determine the alignment with ACTE’s High Quality Framework.

This survey consists of an informed consent statement, 35 leadership items, and demographic questions.  Participation in this research is completely voluntary and no identifiable information will be collected.  It is anticipated that the survey will take about 5-10 minutes to complete.
