“Preparing for CTE Leadership: Insights, Lessons, and What I’m Learning”

As an aspiring CTE administrator, I’ve been reflecting on what the transition from classroom teacher to leadership might look like. Through professional development, mentorship, and coursework, I’ve begun identifying both the opportunities and challenges this role presents. I anticipate key struggles in areas such as time management, personnel coordination, and resource allocation.

From studying current administrators and engaging in leadership modules, I’ve learned that success often stems from strong staff relationships, data-informed decisions, and ongoing professional growth. Integration reflection

Through this introduction of CTE Integration, I now understand how students benefit from foundational knowledge in core subjects such as math, science, english and social studies and how these foundations prepare them application of their knowledge as the begin to develop skills in a CTE program.
