I found all of the material in the training helpful and very useful. Being a first time manager, I know I have a lot of responsibility. I have always held the theory that employees expect to be treated fairly. I know this will be an up hill learning experience. I have already finished my first week as manager. I am looking forward to the future.

If you have a true passion for what you do, you will never stop learning. Watch all the other managers in you company and pay close attention to how they take care of daily business and how their direct reports respond to their management style. You can learn as much from a bad manager as from a good one. Each one can show you something that may work for you as well as thing you know will not work for you.
