Increased Scrutiny of Admission Practices

So I've been on the road a lot lately attending conferences and speaking with those involved in compliance and accreditation.  In fact, one group had a keynote speaker from the NY Times who offered the following advice.  He said that the career college industry MUST engage in proactive reputation management and re-train anyone working in recruitment!

The accreditors echoed this belief at a recent CAPPS conference when asked about the pressures being put on them by the DOE.  The methods used in recruitment in the past must change.  What are you seeing at your school (or the industry) that is pushing for change in this area?

I agree. Alot has changed within the admissions process at our school.  There are so many changes that have taken place that i can see how the admissions team woulld need to be re-trained. I think this course made it easy to understand all the changes.

Hi Misti.  What specific changes are you referring to?  I'm curious...

Pushing for change is a good thing it will allow us to be more creative and to exercise different approaches to the students.
