I would definitely agree.  Students are so computer savvy these days I think they enjoy it when they are given an assignment to research a topic.  It is an opportunity to use their computer skills.

I found this to be useful in teaching an older student computer skills that don't enter college with any computer skills whatsoever. It provides for a certain baseline that may encourage a younger student to teach or assist an older student with these skills.

This class was very helpful for reinforcing concepts that I already knew, but it also gave me several new techniques that I took notes on and plan on implementing in my classroom. I especially liked the ideas of giving a quiz on the first day and creating minute papers that summarize key components of a lesson.
