I am curious how you would use social media (like facebook) in a learning aspect. I would tend to think teachers should nt interact with students on these sites.

Completely necessary in todays society.

Social Media is with us regardless if we agree / don't agree with it.  It has also entered our classrooms.  Its good to see how it can be used within the clasroom as an educational tool.

I though I knew a ton about social media.  This class just confirmed that I was just scratching the surface.  I gained a wealth of knowledge.  

 

As the course suggested if you make it like a blog/discusion board specifically for the course, and you are the administrator (be able to set limits/monitor content) it would reach the millenial student, but not be so difficult that the more seasoned learner is afraid to participate
