Mantaining the Adult Class

It is nice to see how other teachers manage the same problems.  When we are put in similar situations, it is sometimes the abilitty to handle difficult people and difficult situations that shows our strength as a person, and is the greatest teaching tool that we may have.  Students will actually mimic your behaviors, and if you set the bar high and hold to your moral and ethical stance... you may not be everyone's favorite teacher, but you will be giving each student a good life skill while sharing the information on your class topic.

This is so true. In my short time back teaching after being off awhile i can see the lights in students eyes, namely adults, when a student respects and learns new concepts. I appreciate  when a student approaches me and says good class!

I agree--it is sometimes hard to do the unpopular, but it's important for students to realize the importance of personal integrity.

Many people do not like their boss but they respect them.  Earning respect goes a long way in creating a mutually beneficial relationship for students and teachers.
