I agree--it is sometimes hard to do the unpopular, but it's important for students to realize the importance of personal integrity.

I liked the idea of posting problems on-line so that students could bring solutions to class with the the next day.

I will definitely use some classroom assessment techniques from this course, most especially the One Minute Paper and the Punctuated Lectures.

Sometimes I feel that the students are rating us on entertainment value, but I continue to reinforce the relevancy of the material by providing examples from the work place.  Students sometimes provide the entertainment themselves!  I need to be interesting and upbeat because I'm often teaching at 9:30 at night, and they've been working all day.

I especially liked reminders for engaging quieter, less interactive students.  The panel discussion is something I will try next week.  I often assign five minutes for students to read and summarize a section of material from the text when it looks as if they are not engaged in listening.
