Training plans are an effective way to show core teachers and students that importance of education while joining the workplace.
I can see this being a huge obstacle for implementation in schools. Everyone needs to be on the same page and it's essential that the WBL Coordinator has support!
Coordinators really do need to be a connecting point for school, students, parents, and community partners. This is not a small task and it's essential to have the right person in this role.
The idea of touring sites to make sure they are safe for students. I am interested to further explore resources provided in this module because there is so much information!
This was something we struggled with at my school last year. This module gave me ideas on how to approach the some of the experiences we declined due to lack of interest.
I think this module was a great refresher in how to be responsive and communicative to students, both in person and at a distance.
I love the idea of implementing the GROW method. I think it will be a fantastic tool to drive learning and engagement.
My biggest takeaway was the importance of communication and relationship building in the process of WBL.
Creating and maintaining good rapport with students is a must if you want to have a successful WBL program but also if you want to reach kids in any capacity.
This was a very beneficial unit for me. Sharing framework for creating rubrics and incorporating self-assessments is vital to implement WBL.
