EL103

I too just completed this training and found it worthwhile. I have a couple of issue I would like to discuss to see if others had similar problems--the old peer review.

There were several examples of methods to employ that are dependent upon the LMS your online school uses. For example, it is not possible for us to have anonymous student replies to our chats or discussion boards. Student names are associated to each when signing-on to the venue.

Another example, when listing the forms of communication, it appears you omitted student group member communication to the group (SG2G) and vice versa G2SG, and student group member communication to the instructor (SG2I) and vice versa I2SG. However, when I facilitate group projects for MBA students, I do not allow individual group member communication to the instructor--all group-related communication by a group member must be copied to all group members, to keep everyone in the loop.

A further example, I have not received a reply for finding my posts on the forums--a search of my name returns no results. I would like to look at my posts because I have been notified by email that I have not posted to the first three formum questions--the three most important issues when Authoring, Teaching and Assessing . . . .   I cannot awear I posted to the first forum facilitator's question, but I made sure to post to the next two. However, in each of the three emails, I clicked on the link provided and answered the question. Yet, my three responses are not there. Interestingly, I just checked and my response to the forum 4 facilitator query is not there. I will post another response for each of the four questions.

Additionally, something should be done about the method of navigating through the question responses. When using the down button, you can change your response to a question. It happened to me twice during the quizzes and I did not realize it until the second time. When taking the final exam, I went back through my answers to make sure I did not make that mistake again. However, when the test was submitted, I missed one question. I originally clicked on RUBRICS, but when I reviewed the test results. I saw the box below RUBRICS was checked. I must have inadvertently clicked the down button to move to the next question and the quiz software clicked the next answer down.

Did anyone else note similar issues?

Bob
