One of my biggest takeaways from this module is the importance of approaching facilities, equipment, technology, and materials decisions through the lens of instructional needs rather than starting with a proposed solution. In my role supporting multiple CTE pathways at the district level, I regularly encounter situations where instructional needs intersect with equipment maintenance, safety, procurement, and capital improvements. This module reinforced the importance of having a consistent process for evaluating those needs against curriculum standards, industry expectations, and safety requirements. I intend to apply what I've learned by developing a more structured approach to documenting instructional needs, engaging the appropriate stakeholders, and ensuring that decisions are informed, sustainable, and ultimately support student learning.
