In preparing a compliance plan the goal must be to effect change among your faculty and staff. The most important thing for each of us to remember is that the key to our success in executing a compliance plan is to set the expectations of employees at the onsetSet the tone and set the culture of the campus or system of campuses.

The three keys to the success of any employee and thus a team of folks, and something I preach all the time:  my expectations are simple: work hard, do the right thing all the time for the right reasons, and have fun. Do them in any order but do them every day.

In order for our employees to feel comfortable, we must teach them what we expect.  Creating that culture is the key to success, and for our school group to. Online training (for all student facing employees) has helped us to train around this expectation and to put clarity on questions folks had in the past.

Now we have more open communication, and employees not afraid to ask questions or to gain clarity.  This training plan has solidified our commitment to compliance for all employees and has given us the standard training plan and comfort level with knowing all employees are getting consistent messaging.  Testing for understanding has been a key success measurement for us.
