Technology in the Classroom
This course was very helpful since I'm teaching in the Information Technology and Office Technology division at my campus. However, I was aware of much of the materials covered; however, I did enjoy learning new information in the areas, because it will enhance my current knowledge. I am currently using simulations, videos, powerpoint presentations (both audio and non-audio), and more. As the Online Learning Specialist here at my campus, we currently use moodle as the platform for offering distance education courses; as well as instructor courses. We are currently using InfoTrac in our subscribed electronic library resource center. I am also involved in weekly and monthly conference calls and video confercing. Overall, I think the course was great, and will enhance my knowledge in many ways.
I'm curious how you are using simulations. I teach communication courses, including public speaking, and am trying to brainstorm ideas for how to utilize simultions, or if they will @aleatherwood : work for my classes.
