This module taught the importance of helping students understand current occupational trends and the growing demand for high skill, high wage careers. Students need exposure to careers that are evolving due to technology, workforce shortages and changing industry needs. Having this information helps them make better informed decisions.
It is important for students to understand and research the job market in the area they plan to live in as many of the of the students choose to leave this area and move to larger areas.
Labor market needs are a good source of information to know when having discussions with stakeholders when looking at your WBL program assessment and improvement.
To emphasize the high demand and high wage aspect of healthcare careers to my students.
