We have job placement, tutoring, a dean of academics on site, we have student appreciation days and contests, we offer a tablet instead of books as an option for LVN

Eric ,

Your admissions and financial aid officers can also be considered as student services. How many times has a student come to the admissions person they first connected with for assistance? This counts!

CCI's student services department offers resume assistance, interview tips, and mock interviews with the top employer in our area. I bring up this information during the initial phone call, the in-person interview and campus tour.

Our institution offers a variety of student services. We offer a Student Handbook in addition to the Student Catalog, both of which lists the variety of services offered.
Depending on where the student is in their educational program, particular services will be discussed with the student according to their need. For example, during the orientation process, student Services will discuss the housing services available to them. At the end of their program, the more appropriate services to discuss with the student would be career counseling, resume review, interview skills, job placement assistance, and the like.
With that said, it is important that the student be educated during orientation about the services available to them and invite them to return to Student Services as the need arises as they mature with the program.

We highly encourage all prospective students to come in and sit in (up to one hour) in an existing program they wish to enroll. We stress there is no obligation to enroll.
It allows the prospective student to audit the instructor and review the class/lab layout.
Many times the prospective student will talk to a student enrolled about the quality of the class.
We believe students will feel better about enrolling or not enrolling by taking this step. It also helps us with our Retention, etc.

Debbie,

This is a fantastic opportunity for students, and one that frankly is unique to our sector!
