This module has deepened my understanding of how artificial intelligence, and tools like ChatGPT in particular, are transforming the educational landscape. I learned that AI is neither a threat to be avoided nor a solution to be adopted uncritically, but a tool whose value depends on how intentionally we integrate it into teaching and learning. I believe that ChatGPT can be a valuable tool in educational settings, as it facilitates research by providing quick access to information and helping students organize their ideas. However, it also carries potential risks. Beyond concerns about academic dishonesty and overreliance on automated answers, the broader integration of AI into critical systems, such as military and national security infrastructure, raises serious questions about control, accountability, and the consequences of delegating high-stakes decisions to machines.
