I have learned that there are many policies and procedures when it comes to transferring credits, compliance, meetings, and trainings we may attend. Having a Reference Notebook is one of the best ways to capture all of this.

I have learned that we are more then just an Admissions counselor, or whatever your School calls you, we are the bridge between most things students and school. That is a huge responsibility and something we should take as a badge of honor, there is so much we can learn for the students to help them relate. We can also learn so much from our peers at work from advertising & marketing campaigns, student services, and most importantly all of our policies and procedures to follow.

Having a checklist to follow during the time spent with the prospective student(s) as this will be our official guideline for all things student success. A notebook for this will ensure that nothing is missing and all policies are followed.

I have learned the Terms for common matters/things we may run into, and also re-emphasized the importance of Polices and Procedures to follow in this department. While I have worked in Sales in the past, this clearly defined training is much more defined and helpful!
