From the training, I learned legal obligations and opportunities, I learned that supporting students with disabilities involves more than simply meeting legal requirements. Federal Laws such as the American with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act establish important protections that help ensure students have meaningful access to educational programs, services, facilities and opportunities. 

From the Ferpa training, I learned that protecting student information is an important responsibility for anyone working in an educational environment. Ferpa, the family educational rights privacy act, provides students with rights regarding their education records and establishes expectations for how institutions handle, access and share student information. 

In this module I learned what can  constitute sexual harassment and sexual misconduct under applicable policies. I understand what the responsibility of the institution is when it receives a report or complaint.
