About me

Activity

While students appreciate varied assignments, I have also witnessed that they are more receptive to developing patterns. For example, students appreciate consistency with finding information in a set place as opposed to looking for it in different places each week. Therefore, some elements of the class such as announcements are always placed in the same place as well as delivered through email.

Discussion Comment

@adamgreen : Pretests are a great way to assess the current knowledge of your students. It takes away the possibility of making assumptions and provides a guide for instructions to format course materials.

Hello:

This is a must have course. I was able to learn about the copyright laws and how to protect myself from being sued. This course is very informative and a must have for those working in the for-profit setting. It is important to learn how to protect yourself from copyright infringement and this course provides the information that is needed.

@NTrotter : I think it is important to change up the types of assignments from week to week. When curriculum is presented in the same manner each week, it stagnates the students ability to think outside of the box. The student sees the same types of assignments and discussion and therefore begins to pattern their thoughts with regards to constructing their responses and assignments.

So true! I have started my instructional journey and I find that I have to keep my creative geniuses active in order to hold the student's attention. i, constantly, think about how I can reach the student and engage them to participate.
