We as a team works to promote retention, success and gain the knowledge. School of nursing is a challenge for everyone who is enrolled. Faculty- students need to be focused, use adequately our time and resources. Its an accelerated program. A good tools is always motivated students with a real life experience, where they see reflected the topics we are teaching. Also students loved break down concepts on the board instead of just following slides. Challenge questions and lab skills support classroom lectures.

As a nursing instructor has been a challenge use time and bring proper and accurate information. This is an acelerated program 15 months. In class we really has to "going straight to the point" , we are just a facilitator. Train students to be tested, teach them hot nuri=sing topics and them evaluate their clinicals skills. I loved what i do. We use differents ways to bring the information; breaking down concepts on the board, maping concepts, students love it , use videos and always bring practical scenarios , real life situation to the classroom. nursing students on accelerated programs

Nursing program is really short;15-18 months is a really challenge. Important tool is just teach by outline or keep points using the board a lot to breaking down concepts. I learned in 4 years experience that the majority of the students are adults and visual learners to keep them engaged and motivated the traditional class (lecture)does not work to much. We made some changes and introduced more videos, diagrams, schemas.
