By teaching students on a semi-individual basis makes for a more inclusive classroom. Self-paced learning works well to a degree but the process must be guided carefully. 

I learned that incorporating technology into the classroom would help mirror real world environments and that gamification of lessons would help keep students engaged. 

I learned that students learn by hands-on projects and not by just memorization. I also learned that new information is built upon students prior knowledge and they learn based on what they already know. CTE is constructivism at it's core and having an inclusive environment is key to having a successful program.
