They offered very good advice on record-keeping. Advice on dealing wwtth difficult students/issuses falls short, advising that the educator refer to institutio policy. I've not seen policies for this an don't expect to as we are in a unique situation requiring online education for a short time.

Asynchronous lining is where students can participate in ways that they may not have been comfortable with ynchronnously. It allows their voice to be heard.

Having been an online learner, I realized the effectiveness of the professors biography as well as that of the other students. It helps to create a feeling of classroom.

The online learning program requires just as much attention from the educator as the on-groundenvironment, and possibly more. It is vital that the student feels supported and able to manage the online environment. As an educator I check in with my students at each meeting to see how they are doing, if they need additional asistance, and how I can best support them.
