I really enjoyed the preface of learning iwhtin the module of compliance. It was really eye opening to see the amount of regulations as well as the Regulatory Traid that is invovled for all educational institutions. It is a critical component for all to understand how one can offer a misrepresentation to a perspective student. It is so easily done on a daily bais stha twe do not even realize it!! The course was very beneficial.

It is so critical being involved in education that there is no type of misrepresentation being seen by any party. This is a high area of concern for all schools because they are often sued and ridiculed in the press resulting in employees being terminated. It is critical to understand that misrepresentation is considered to be substantial if the recipeint could reasonably be expected to rely on its accuracy in making their enrollment decisions. Any false or misleading statement made by the institution directly or indirectly to a current student or perspective student. This can be done in the form… >>>

Just as in anything, it is a vital component to create transparency in all that we do, let alone as we are spekaing with a prosepctive student in regards to the program of interest. We have to all remember that prospective students are for the most part, at a point in the lives of deparation (tl make a change) and this will be one of the most important decision that they will make...what path will they walk to obtain a career for the rest of their lives? As disclosures are being made, it is crucial to create the transparency that… >>>

I feel that it is a critical component for all employees to live and stnad by the mission and core values of their company. This will ensure that all individuals will have aclear understanding of what to do. The mission is what guides the company as well as provide the company with those key action words to help facilitate the actions of the employees. It is important to always do the right thing!

Absolutely! I feel that the more we can integrate the students as a whole group....a team, the more successful they will be. I make sure that my program and the students therein are able to bond and grow together through multiple activities. I also make sure that we are involved as a program in community events. This has made a tremendous increase in our student retention!

Job placement is such a motivating factor to the success of that student. This is probably one of the first questions that a perspective student asks in the admissions process. If one looks at the overall "big picture" this is the final step and goal of their educational journey! The ability to provide a comprehensive employment skills training is a vital component. This is a huge step to prepare the student for their employment....and it begins NOW...don't wait until the last minute or even after graduation!

I cannot speak more on this topic. It is so crucial to the overall academic success of our students! It is so important that not just my self, as the Program Director, but for my instructors to know and understand their students. They have to be "in tune" and recognize when things may shift within their lives because it can and will ultimately interrupt their academic studies. For example, as i arrive to work this morning i had an email from my Academic Dean that my instructor came to her last night during class about concerns with a student. Come… >>>

I have implemented a student mentoring program with the senior students to the freshman students. This has been an integral part of the retention process in the program. Retention is usually that one thing that we are trying to improve always. The ability to provide this assistance for another student has given such a positive jump start to the retention movement. If you do not have a mentoring program implemented, please do it! It truly works!

I feel that it is imperative that each program director can sit and have a face to face interview with the perspective candidate for their program. I also feel it very crucial to work closely with the admissions department so that there is an open line of coomunication. THis also helps establish the relationship that the admissions reps will reach out and find out the true detials to quesitons that they know nothing about. I have really made sure that I work hand in hand with the admissions team, because truly it is a two-way street that needs to be… >>>

As the Program Director of a program at my school, I have found it absolutely necessary to work hand-in-hand with the Admissions Team!  I have seen the effects of this displayed in a positive manner that has yielded that highest reward possible....the STUDENT!!  When each department collaborates together, the student will experience positive experience that will allow for their learning experience to blossom and grow and be successful at the program that they are entering.  We need to all remember that each department creates one large TEAM!!  Collaboration is the key!
