Yes Yadira, I do believe that this training is a great refresher and ensures that admissions reps/agents are keeping up with state policies and regulations. The implementation and use of the resource handbook is another tool that many of the Admissions reps here are constantly going back to, we stress that all representatives are well informed of the newer and updated regulations and statutes. It is important that we commit to this training at least annually that way everyone is on the same page.

I totally agree with this statement, Patty. We oftentimes make certain to introduce the student to Career Services on their first visit to the campus. We do this as routine so that the student establishes rapport with not only the admissions representative, but with Career Services also. We try hard to help tto cultivate the relationship between student and career services because we want the student to build a sort of mind-set that their ultimate accomplishment will be acheived with the relationship with career services. Hi Sheri,

I do print out the material each year and exchange out old and outdated information for new and updated information when I come across it. That is actually the best way I find to maintain my Resource Notebook. I do, however, keep a folder of the old regulations because you will never know when an old process has to be proven, especially during accreditation visits because these do not occur anually.

Both of these documents are at the center of the integrity of the institution. It seems simple, but ensuring that students are provided a copy of both of these documents prior to enrollment is a must. We provide the prospective student with a copy of the catalog so that they can read through it and ask any questions they may have. Then and only then do we allow them to sign the enrollment agreement.
