What is the average number of students who leave an online course?

Hi Milagros

In my experience of one year with ECPI the number of students who leave the on line classes is at around 15 % of initial registrations. However about 3 to 5 % of them come back on board on the following semester to repeat the class.

It also varies from semester to semester

Now, if we consider the students who fall very behind and finish with a very low grade, I can say this number is at 10 to 15 % area of the total students in the class.

Great module

Hi Cassandre

I agree with you in termes of becoming a better teacher when taking this class. This is by far a better class than I have taken before in terms of learning how to become more effective and helpful teacher.

In this course fortunately I am learning the details on how to work with individuals considering the fact that each student is a unique individual and should be helpef in a very specific manner that works for some but not for others. This feature can not be aplied in a on campus class.
