I learned classroom management is just as important in an online environment as it is in traditional settings.  I learned different ways to handle this behaviour in a professional manner.

The importance regarding asynchronous and synchronous discussions was valuable and provided good advice when managing course discussions amongst students.

It is important to still build relationaships with your students even in an elearning environment.  Just like in the classrooms, students will be more engaged and work harder when they know that they matter to you. 

Structure is key. As an instructor I need to have full understanding of the online platform I am using to effectively convey information. Communication was a topic of concern initially, but now I have been enlightened on the various forms of communication with students with online learning.
