Holistic assessments allow students to show what they know through a variety of methods, It is important to get to know each student and get a focus on their learning preferences and best means of expression.

Students should develop both literacy and language skills. Some students learning English may have highly-developed literary skills that do not immediately show up.

Intercultural communication looks at each student in entirety, and their individual experiences are included in the curriculum. The key is to get to know and include every student.

We've learned that each student is different, and that the entire group can be brought forward while individual differences are still being respected. We've also focused on the schematic approach to education in which old knowledge is connected to new.
