When evaluating faculty, the use of qualitative and quantitative methods is essential. In addition, the faculty, curriculum, and technology are some of the variables that must be assessed as they impact student success and performance. 

When hiring new faculty, the orientation process is a crucial time to introduce them to the mission, culture, policies, and important compliance/regulatory matters. It is critical to review both general employment regulations and specific faculty requirements. 

The importance of having quality faculty members who are trained in the content area is critical. It may be that adjunct faculty members are immersed in the subject; however, at times, it is essential to have a mixture of adjunct and full-time faculty members.
