In the course ED148: Introduction to ChatGPT, one of the stated limitations is that ChatGPT "does not have access to real-time information or the ability to browse the internet for the latest updates." However, I believe this is no longer accurate for the current version. I asked ChatGPT to browse the internet and display the headline of today's New York Post—and it did so successfully. This shows that, beyond its training data, ChatGPT can now access and retrieve real-time information from the web. I'd love to hear your thoughts—do you agree, or have you experienced something different?

I've learned that ChatGPT is a powerful AI language model developed by OpenAI, designed to understand and generate human-like text based on the prompts it receives. Built on a foundation of deep learning and trained on vast amounts of data, ChatGPT can assist with writing, research, problem-solving, and more. In an educational setting, it can be a valuable tool for brainstorming ideas, improving writing quality, summarizing readings, and even practicing critical thinking through interactive dialogue.
