Often times helping a student with a disability can be as simple as putting a box around a test question so as to keep it separated. This is something which can be useful for other students as well, and can be easily implemented.

Be aware that a growing number of learners do not use English as their first language, and this can present chall for you as a teacher. Learn how to overcome these challenges so that everyone can benefit, and grasp the points of the lesson.

Be sure that you are monitoring students in the classroom on an equal basis. Don't focus too long on any one student, especially the ones who are extremely eager to answer questions, as those are the ones you will probably naturally gravitate towards. we must remember to treat all students with equal attention and respect.

When putting students into groups, aim for group diversity. Don't lump all of the top students together. Mix up the groups with overachievers, and people who are struggling a bit. This will help everyone involved, as the better students will get more experience through helping… >>>

An important aspect of helping keep students engaged is by being engaging yourself. For example, move around, keep your energy up, gesture with your hands, smile, and make eye contact to make sure that you are the focus of the class, no that what you are talking about is important.

be careful not to over-do it though. Don't be nervous with your movements or gestures. Don't "pace" around the room, "float."
