Activity

Adaptive learning is great because all students learn differently and at different speeds.  It will allow them to work at their own pace and fit their learning styles.

There will always be a need for instructors to answer questions that's not in the FAQ section of the course.  It's like the automated payment systems that we use to pay the bills.  You will always get a question that will need a live operator to solve.  The instructor is that live operator that will help with trouble shooting/ questions not answered by the program.  It helps with the small/common questions but not the difficult hard ones.

Adaptive learns give students the flexibility to learn at different speeds as all students learn at different paces.  It also allows students to learn in several different ways.

I learned how to make exams that tests students on more real life situations rather and rote memorization for online learning.  Also, ways to prevent cheating on online classes.

It's interesting to learn about so many different techiques on stopping cheating and dealing with cheaters.  It's also informative to learn about how to spot and remove diffcult students that can cause problems for you and other students.

It's very informative about how to deal with different student personality types with different strategies.

Team assignments are good for students to learn how to work together, get to know their classmates and get a chance to help each other.  Keeping in mind that 10% of the class will miss assignments will help me design a plan to deal with it.
