I love the idea of the Pair-Think-Share. I see the benefits of empowering them to discuss with their peers without the intimidation of presenting their ideas directly to me or the entire class. My classes are often between 4 and 8 students though, do you think there is a way to adapt this to work? It seems futile to break up 4 students into 2 groups to discuss. Would it be better to ask them to discuss it amongst themselves before reporting to me?
