I think the biggest takeaway from this module is that all of these regulations are in place to, in the end, help the students succeed, which is what we are here for. We don't want to use deceptive practices or misleading language 1) because it violates standards and rules, but also 2) because we want to make sure our students have the best experience possible. It is critical to uphold all standards and regulations in regards to the admissions process, and if those rules feel tedious we just have to remember that we are trying to set our students up… >>>

This module really reinforced the importance of integrity in everything that we do. If we work and function with integrity, aiming to maintain that integrity in how we present ourselves and the information we're giving out, we can maintain the integrity of our institutions and their accredidation status.

One of the biggest things I got out of this module is how vitally important it is to stay up to date on all policies, and to realize that those policies can change sometimes. In order to ensure that were are staying compliant, providing accurate information, and not using incorrect verbiage, we need to check official websites regularly to make sure no policies have recently changed or to understand any new changes.

I learned the importance of ensuring that all information provided to students during interviews and enrollment is accurate - no guestimating or rounding. Also, make sure to inform students of all services available to them.

The biggest things I learned from this module are the importance of adhering to guidelines when it comes to filling out enrollment paperwork correctly and how important it is to not promise things we cannot promise, and in general be really careful about what we say when we are talking to students so we don't accidentally promise or suggest something that we can't promise or that isn't true.

I learned how important it is to know all of the rules and regulations, especially around accredidation; as a takeaway from this module, I intend to take the suggestion of making a binder with all of the relevant information so that I have it organized, on hand, and ready for reference.
