About me

Activity

Over the years, I have taught many courses - some with existing lesson plans that were poorly constructed and some that were concise and on target. I have also created a couple lesson plans and after completing this course, I can state that the information in ED 109 would have made my lesson plans not only more effective but also reduced the amount of time spent and my own personal stress!

As an instructor in a school that teaches mechanics, I've been utilizing some of these techniques for some time. The best thing about this course is the fact that, over time, we tend to forget about some things we've done in the past that worked well and have been reminded of them.

I just completed ed 110 too. I think too many administrators and students are unaware that instructors are people too and are subject to even more stress than others. This course pointed out some very effective tools to help deal with stress. I've been employing many of them myself for years.

I think one of the greatest dangers to experienced instructors, as well as new ones, is to assume that you're doing okay. We must constantly take a step back and evaluate ourselves to determine if there are improvements we can make. I firmly believe that the learning process never stops and the only thing that remains constant is the need for change.

Accelerated learning is something that, in the past, has been somewhat confusing to me and many others in my field. There has been a lot of discussion over the years about what it is and what it isn't. This course was refreshing, in that it clearly describes and defines not only what accelerated learning is, but how to implement it to get results.
