Michael, I like that you provided ways to motivate the various generations. These are helpful hints that we can all think about. Thanks!
Michael, Frequent and consistent communication comes up often when we discuss a pattern of communication. Frequency and consistency builds good habits. Thanks!

Maria, Good point. As you use analytic rubrics you do "analyze" what needs to be divided into specific sections and provide more detail to students. This detail can help them further understand the expectations at hand. Thanks!
Patrick, Good point. It's a good way to get them all involved and it will also help them understand the expectations. Thanks for your input.

Michelle, Excellent. Reviewing rubrics and all that we do is so important to the learning process. Thanks for your input.
Michelle, Do you mean rubric template and not resume template? We can find many online and them tweak them to meet our needs. Thanks!
Michelle, The criteria are crucial. We have to make sure the students understand what they are striving for and we have to make sure the rubrics are tied to the learning outcomes. Nice job.

Janelle, The 24 hour rule is typical and some say 24-48 hours. Professionalism is so essential. If I get hostile emails from students, I calm reply with a brief message stating the facts and typically referring the students to the rubric or syllabus. I also remind them of the netiquette/professionalism policy. I respond with email, but I know some call students. I do not. Hope this helps.

Janelle, You bring up some good points and provide examples for others to learn from. I manage priorities more than time any more. :-) Thanks!
Erin, Good point. I typically give students rubrics and assess a few times with rubrics to help them understand the process and see some examples and then involve them. But, I too have them develop it (inception), assess themselves and their peers (implementation) and then we review the rubric. Thanks!
