Valerie, We are all different and I like that you note each generation has a different definition of success. We have many experiences in our lives that we base that definition on. Thanks!
Valerie, Right. Set the standard and stick to it. It's a common guideline to respond within 24-48 hours. Thanks for adding to the conversation.

Melissa, You got that right. Without effective communication and asking the questions you noted, the learning will not move forward. Thanks for your input.
Christen, Getting feedback from students on the rubrics is helpful as well. Their feedback can be very helpful as we continue to refine our rubrics. Thanks for sharing.
Kathy, We keep searching and we keep learning. We are in a lifelong learning business. Thanks.
Christen, The kicker many times is that when we find rubrics that are already made, we typically need to tweak them. So, when you begin to generate your own, you can save them and tweak them as you need to. Thanks.

Lindsay, It may help to set aside certain days to write/research and others for grading/communicating. And, schedule a day (one per week at least) for YOU! You deserve it.
Julie, I agree. When our peers, who are also teaching online, review our course, they bring a great perspective to the review. It's good to hear what others think about our course. Thanks for your input.
Faith, Review questions are good formative evaluations. I also go over any questions missed on exams as well. This helps improve the learning before the next test. Thanks for your input.
Rosalind, Excellent idea with the discussion boards. Additional resources can help students connect the course content to other things such as the work world, their major, etc. Good job.
