Melinda , I totally agree. Serving as a great role model in your communication and all aspects of respect in the course, etc. is essential. This helps set the proper tone. Thanks for your input.
George, Thank you for your thorough feedback. Students have to feel they are in a safe environment to participate and feel confortable participating many times. You can help by encouraging some privately to participate and also responding in a positive way to encourage more communication. As you stated, the "ground rules" are extremely important. When everyone understands the expectations, they are more likely to understand what they need to do to be successful. Thanks for your input.
Dr. Vicki, Ah, a curriculum specialist. They look at things differently too. You are so right about checking your ego. Do not take any of this personally - it's all for the good of the course, students and you. Thanks for your input.
Richard, You're right. Getting feedback in a variety of ways provides information from a variety of audiences. It's good to do this so that you can see the big picture and realize not everyone views everything the same. Thanks for your input.
Dr. Vicki, You have tied this back to other postings and continue to note the importance of each item. Thanks for connecting the dots!
Richard, Timely, specific, meaningful, positive, constructive, helpful, on target, related to the learning outcomes, etc. They are all good things to think about when providing feedback. Thanks for your input.
Edward, Feedback through various methods are important. You get differnt information from the various types. Thanks for your input.
