Gary, You are so right. We have to not only understand others but also understand ourselves so we can close that communication gap. Keep up the good work.
Gary, I feel your pain. I am always amazed when a student cannot attach a file or has no idea where he/she has saved the file. There are some necessary basics for online courses, but I do put directions in the FAQ section a out those things just in case and refer students to that area. Thanks for sharing
Michele, I agree totally. A variety is good S you get varying degrees of feedback from the various types. This provides a more well-rounded view of whatever you may be assessing. Just stay involved in the process. Thanks!
Kimberly, Right on! You have reiterated what others have noted in this forum. Thanks for continuing the conversation.
Michele, Correct. There is a difference between feedback and meaningful feedback. If we want our students to improve and learn at a higher rate, meaningful, timely feedback is essential. Thank you.

Brenda, Right on. It's important to note that rubrics help the students and instructor. The better the expectations are understood and the learning outcomes are consistently evaluated. The better. Thanks!

George, Not only breaking down the assignments, but connecting the pieces or the assignment as a whole to the learning outcomes. I put my learning outcomes in the rubric as well. This shows the students why they are doing what they are doing. . to achieve a learning outcome. Rubrics help the instructor and student. Thanks for the resource journal.
