Thomas , Glad it's working for you. It's nice to have space just for what you want and then you can really concentrate while you are in that environment. Thanks for sharing.
Thomas , Sounds like you have a system that works for you. The students can then look back at the files for remediation or review for a test or quiz. It's a good resource for them.

Donald, You describe the setting well. This impacts how the rubrics are used and the benefits to students and the instructors. Thanks!

Donald, That makes sense. If someone learned basic math 30 years ago or 5 years ago and didn't use it much in their lifetime, I could see where there would be a difference in how you should approach the learning process for these different students. Good point. Thanks!
Donald, I can see how important timely responses would be for math students. It's the same for many other subjects when students have to build upon knowledge to move to a higher level of learning. Specific questions can help lead them to the correct answer and how to solve the problem. Thanks!
Donald, Thank you for bringing up the accessibility issues. I also like the KISS principle and it can help all students. Thanks again for adding to this forum.
Shirley, Summative and formative evaluations can provide you with different information at different times. The rubrics are typically used for the summative evaluations and help all stakeholders understand the expectations. Thanks again for your input in these forums.
Shirley, Meaningful feedback should helps students improve. When it's provided in a timely manner and provided so the students can understand it - they can improve. Don't forget to tie everything to the learning outcomes. Thanks!

Shirley, Thanks for adding that the syllabus can be accomplished through different methods. Communication many times starts first with the syllabus. Thanks for your input.

Shirley, An audience analysis is important in any situation, but when the audience is your students - even more important. The information in the syllabus will help students understand the expectations. Thanks!
