Marjorie, Yes, the better we understand "where the students are coming from", the better we can develop content to meet their needs. Thanks for your input.

Khaled, The students' abilities and the LMSs' abilities are two key components. The better we know them both, the better we can develop the content and communication to help the students excel. Thanks!

Marjorie, Right on! If the students don't understand what is in the modules or how to access them, they will never achieve the course goals. Thanks!

Deana, Yes - you are on target with your list. Everything we do should help the students improve and achieve the learning outcomes. Thanks for your input in this forum.
Sandy and Steven, Thanks for continuing the conversation and the clarification. Consistency is a key point. Thanks again.
Sandy, Excellent. Communication is essential to ensure students comprehend what they are supposed to be doing and why. Modeling the proper behavior is so important. We have to be good role models! Thanks!

Jacinda, I have used a rubric for discussion boards and I believe the discussions have been richer and fuller because students understand better what they should be posting. Thanks for input in these posting.
Sandy and Sandy, Affordability is a very good point to make. We have to make sure students can access the information, course content, assignments, etc. and affordability may play a very key role. Thanks!
Sandy , Excellent list. These all support the students and the learning process. Nice job!

James , Mutually understand is the key phrase you used. We all need to be "one the same page" when it comes to assignments, expectations and evaluation. Thanks!
