Philip, Great questions. These are all things that others need to think about as well. As our students are all different and from varying generations, the delivery of content in a variety of ways is essential. Thanks!

Martin, Good questions. I particularly like that you are asking the question and thinking about what students may have difficulty with. It's good to think about that up front.

Rhonda, I think they are popular because they work. I love the information you posted about making these a part of formative assessment. Right on! Thanks!
Tony, Does it do what we want it to? Can we use it? Yes, important questions. Your questions will be helpful to others that are looking to evaluation communication or other tools. Thanks for you input.
Frances and William, It's great to see that others are doing the same thing or like the same thing we do. Student training is awesome if we can get it. Thanks!
Frances and Sandy, Thanks for continuing the conversation. When the technology doesn't work, the instruction falsely gets blamed many times. Therefore, the more tech support, the better. Thanks!
Frances, Definitely. The tool and purpose must go hand-in-hand and we have to make sure all students can use the tool as well. I use Adobe Connect too and a FAQ discussion board that takes care of most issues. Thanks!

Sandra, Right on. Glad you brought up the point that both the students and instructors benefit form rubrics. Thanks for the link to DePaul's Teaching Commons. We like to stretch beyond these forums. Thanks!

Carolyn, All true - and rubrics help the instructors grade more fairly and consistently. Rubrics are good for all involved in the learning process. Thank you.

Carolyn, I agree. Although all Gen Y or any generation cannot be plugged in to all the specific qualities of that generation, it gives us an overall view of the students and helps us understand them more fully. Thanks!
